John Roderique

Webb City Cardinals

Webb City football Coach John Roderique enters his 23rd season with his alma mater. Roderique has guided the Cardinals to a 275-26 record since taking the helm in 1997. Roderiques' 92% career winning percentage makes him the winningest coach in Missouri high school football history by percentage. Roderique has been named Coach of the Year by his peers in the Missouri Football Coaches Association in 1997, 2000, 2001, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012,  2013, 2014, & 2017.

 

Roderique has guided the Cardinals to the MSHSAA playoffs 20 of his 22 season as Head Coach, including the last 19 seasons in a row (2000-2018). The Cardinals have advanced to the state semi-finals 17 times including 8 in a row from 2008-2015.

 

Roderique's Cardinals have reached the Show-Me-Bowl 14 times (1997, 2000, 2001, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017), winning 11 Missouri Class 4 State Championships (97, 00, 01, 06, 08, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 17).

 

Coach Roderique was enshrined into the Missouri Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2017 and the Joplin Area Sports Authority Hall Fame in 2016. Roderique was named the 2016 Pete Adkins- Power of Influence Award winner. In 2019 Roderique was named to the list of the 50 greatest high school football coaches of all time by MaxPreps.com

 

Anthony Hays

Branson Pirates

Anthony Hays is now in his third season with the Branson Pirates. Hays has earned a 7-17 record leading the Pirates since the 2017 season.

Before coming to Branson, Hayes served as head coach at Parkview High School in Springfield. In six season as the Vikings coach hays twice led Parkview to the district championship game. Hays was named Ozark Conference Coach of the Year in 2012.

hays began his coaching career as a head coach in King City. Hays led King City from 2008 to 2011 before departing to Parkview

Highlights:

The Cardinal rode a high scoring second quarter to sneak past Branson 22-20. The Cardinals had to hold off the Pirates down the stretch to earn the win. Branson scored 10 unanswered points in the second half and were threatening deep in Cardinal territory in the games final minutes. The Cardinals defense made a key fourth down stop to squash the Pirates comeback bid.

Webb City leads the all time series 20-1. The lone win for Branson was a 28-21 win in Coach Roderiques second season in 1998.
